About Me
John A. Ebner, DO, MS, FAAD, was born and raised in Saudi Arabia. He traveled extensively while living abroad, developing an empathy and understanding for the cultural differences that exist worldwide. This experience contributes invaluably to how he cares for his patients. Dr. Ebner graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Arizona with a degree in Nutrition and Chemistry. This was followed by a Master’s degree with high honors in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Riverside. Dr. Ebner graduated at the top of his class from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University and completed his dermatology residency at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic. During his residency, he was accepted into a research fellowship focusing on the molecular signaling pathways of squamous cell and basal cell carcinomas.
Dr. Ebner is double board-certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (Mohs Surgery), and was among the first dermatologists nationally to achieve board certification in Mohs surgery. His clinical expertise centers on treating and preventing skin cancer, with particular focus on Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery and facial reconstruction. He finds great professional fulfillment in addressing the intricate challenges presented by facial reconstruction and consistently aims to achieve the highest quality outcomes for his patients.
Outside the office, Dr. Ebner enjoys flying as an instrument-rated pilot, often taking to the skies in a Cirrus SR22T. He is married and has three adult children; while two of them chose to attend Arizona State University, he remains a proud Wildcat. Bear Down!
